USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Readers may recall that a couple of years back (2011 to be precise), Imran Khan went onto file a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) against the government's move when it changed the legal drinking age from 21 to 25 years.
And now, Imran has got a reply from the Bombay High Court, which has apparently stated that it is working on revising the legal drinking age. Talking about the same, Imran said that he wanted to fight for the common man's basic right as he felt that if the government was making money off alcohol consumption, why couldn't they stick with the decision of maintaining 21 years as the minimum legal age for drinking?
He also added that he was fortunate enough to get a reply in just two years instead of it getting dragged for years together. And in order to avoid any kind of legal tangles since he is an American citizen, he said that he didn't want authorities to reject it due to some minor errors and that's why he filed the PIL along with his brother- in- law, who is an Indian citizen.
