The Grove Theatre (Upland, CA)
Named for their beachside hometown, the band Venice shows off their soaring harmonies, witty lyrics and masterful instrumentals at the Grove. They’ve released more than a dozen discs featuring their eclectic sound, a stellar blend of pop, folk, rock, funk and soul, including their latest, 2013’s double album What Summer Brings. Made up of brothers and cousins of the famed vocal group The Lennon Sisters, Venice is super popular in the Netherlands, but their trademark SoCal sound has also earned them famous fans stateside. They’ve performed and recorded with everyone from Springsteen to Stevie Nicks, and Roger Waters to Ozzy Osborne. Tim Moyer opens the show.
