Himesh Reshammiya is on a roll. His acting venture The Xpose is carrying positive buzz and he has bagged some of the biggest films of this year as a music composer. In a Bollywood Hungama exclusive video interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Himesh spoke about his acting and music plans. We bring you excerpts from what he said about the music of two of the most eagerly awaited films, Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick, both starring Salman Khan.
Himesh Reshammiya on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo:
"Sooraj Barjatya's film is very traditional but has a very beautiful script. It's definitely going to be one of the biggest films next year and Salman-Sooraj ji combination will take it to another level. The film is exactly in the zone that the Barjatyas are famous for. The kind of traditional values shown in the film is very rare in today's films but Sooraj ji has incorporated it very beautifully and also logically. Every youngster will connect with the message of the film. I also love the title of the film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, as it completely goes with the Rajshri banner. If some other filmmaker attempts to do a film with the title Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, I am not sure if it'll sound good. But when Sooraj ji makes a film with such a title and coupled with Salman's presence, its bang on. It was due to Salman bhai's recommendation that I got this film. I then had a sitting with Sooraj ji and Raj babu and they loved my compositions. Sooraj ji is very particular about the minute details and we are working on it. Irshad Kamil has penned the lyrics."
Himesh Reshammiya on Kick:
"Sajid (Nadiadwala) bhai is in full form with Kick. He'll turn out to be a brilliant director. The film releases on Eid and we have a song in the film on Jumma. You have to hear it to realize what a fantastic song it has turned out to be. And Salman bhai takes it to another level. So this Eid, it's going to be a big Hungama, with Kick."
