With Tiger's Heropanti, are you reliving the emotions that you had gone through 30 years back?
My feelings were actually nothing! I was very easy going and didn't think about it at all. Mujhe maloom bhi nahi pada tha ki meri picture release ho gayi hai. In fact I remember sleeping when these big journalists Vir Sanghvi and Rauf Ahmed came to my place for an interview. They said – 'Tumhe faraq nahi padhta hai that your film is releasing' (laughs). Now today Tiger is giving interviews all over. Still, I think emotionally he is absolutely a child. He is aware that he has a lot of responsibility but then he says things from the heart. Jo aaya dimaag mein woh bol diya.

In a way so much has changed in the way newcomers are launched today, what with Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV going all out with the film's marketing, promotion and release, right?
The media has expanded and a lot of spheres have opened up. The sky is wide open for the business. Mere zamaane mein toh zameen ke vaande they; aaj poora aasmaan saamne hai. People can do so many things from home itself. Har tarah se connect kar sakte hain. At that time, journos used come to the sets for an interview. Today I and you are doing it over Skype and Google Talk!

When you arrived with Hero, Subhash Ghai was already an established director. Here it is Sabbir Khan for Heropanti and he is yet to prove himself. Does that still make you comfortable about the launch of Tiger?
Bhedu, 65% of Indian population is under 35 years of age. We are talking about a very young India. It doesn't really matter if the person is a newcomer. Also, let's not forget that he has done a film with Akshay also, who is a good person and a disciplined actor. It rubs upon your personality too.

So are we looking at Shroffs throwing their own huge celebration party, now that Heropanti is turning into a good hit?
Hum toh soch bhi lein par Tiger just wants to relax for a few days now (laughs). I guess that's his idea of fun times since he is not into night life. Shuru se hi usne kabhi cigarette, sharaab nahi pee toh ab kya karega!
