Set in Victorian England, and adapted from the short story by Algernon Blackwood, The Doll tells the story of Jane and Mrs. O’Brien, two dutiful caretakers within the home of the beleaguered Colonel Masters. When young Monica is given a package that arrives mysteriously at their doorstep, a force enters the house that turns their quiet little world upside down. This fully-produced 35-minute play will be staged as a moving show in and around the historic Strub Mansion at the Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena. As a bonus, you’ll also be able to enjoy a staged reading of a new Wicked Lit play between performances.
