USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Sai Kabir whose last film Revolver Rani garnered rave reviews from the critics and audience alike is all set to helm an Indo- French venture titled Divine Lovers. It is learnt that Kabir had in fact earlier pitched the concept of the film to Film France, but it was only recently that the French Film Commission (FFC) green lighted the project.
Interestingly, Kabir's and the film's French connection doesn't end there. In fact the Chief Operating Officer of the commission, Franck Priot has been mentoring Kabir on his script and has even helped find a co-producer Leonard Glowinski, who has co-produced films like Unknown and Alexander.
Featuring Irrfan Khan and Kangna Ranaut, Divine Lovers is a love story set against the backdrop of the India Shining myth and how it offers a false sense of hope. While most of the post-production will be done in France, the film's story is set in Mumbai, Bhopal and Aligarh.
