A GLOBAL YOGATHON FOR EDUCATION
8 Countries. Over 40 cities.
You’re invited to join thousands of people around the world for Yogathon – the largest global
Yogathon in history.
Saturday, August 16 is the day to connect with your inner yogi, whether you are a novice,
experienced, or merely curious: all you need is a Yoga mat and a benevolent spirit. Participants
are challenged to execute 108 sun salutations (or as many as you can, really!) in a large gathering
of fellow participants, and join a global movement for education and change.
All proceeds support Care for Children, an initiative of the Art of Living Foundation that helps
educate children in India’s more underprivileged communities. We believe that education is a
universal right that can help break the cycles of poverty, disease and social inequity. The success
of our programs is undeniable. From the first class of 30 children in 1981, Care for Children has
grown to establish over 40 schools and has educated over 39,000 children. We believe children
are our future and we work tirelessly to give them hope and provide them with the tools they
need to build a bright future. For more information visit: www.careforchildren.org
The United Nations second millennium development goal is to ensure that, by 2015, children
everywhere, boys and girls alike, will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling.
Data shows that the progress on reducing the number of children out of school has stalled and
that the goal will not be met by 2015 if current trends continue.
Yogathon will unite the world (over 40 cities!) to rise for a cause – in support of children’s
education in India. Believe in staying fit and having a good time, whilst helping out a
worthwhile cause? Yogathon is your chance to make a difference!
Are you game to be a part of global history? Join a global Yogathon and rise for a cause! Rise

See you on August 16.
