USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…We have all heard of books being adapted to the big screen or for that matter even TV shows being based on novels. Now we hear that Aanand L. Rai is all set on adapting his film Raanjhanaa for the small screen as a TV series.

Confirming the same, Rai commented saying that the story of the Dhanush – Sonam Kapoor starrer Raanjhanaa was such that there could be multiple subplots and story lines within the same. However, due to the time constraint of the length of a film, it was difficult to fit them all in, further adding that his team has already started work on adapting the film.

Interestingly, Rai, who directed the film, will be associated with the series only in the capacity of producer and creative head, while the project will be helmed by someone else. Commenting on the same, Rai said that though the cast and the director are yet to be finalized, he has already begun talks with various TV channels to air the show.

Raanjhanaa that released in 2013 was a romantic drama film, directed by Aanand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma.
