The Saint-Leonard office of the J Division Drug Section, with the assistance of the Edmundston Police Force and the Sûreté du Québec, arrested two men from Edmundston, New Brunswick in Dégelis, Québec on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.

Jérémie Fortin, 23 years old, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, trafficking of methamphetamine and breach of probation. Jessy Bouchard, 19 years old, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking.

One hundred and fifty methamphetamine pills were seized. In addition to charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking, one of the individuals appeared in court in Rivière-du-Loup on November 18, 2010 in connection with three arrest warrants for similar offences. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance, scheduled for November 29, 2010.
