True love can be a killer in this musical adaptation of Rostand’s classic play Cyrano de Bergerac. In this mobbed-up version, Serrano D’Angelo is a NYC renaissance man: poet, patron of the arts… and the enforcer for the Reyo crime family in Little Italy. When his Don’s enterprises are put in danger by an honest judge, it’s up to Serrano to make the problem go away. He schemes to add a little class to a handsome but uncouth mobster so he can seduce the judge’s daughter and comprise the case. But when he puts his plan in motion, Serrano discovers that the judge’s daughter is the woman he loves. Running at the Matrix Theatre in West Hollywood, Serrano The Musical is directed by Joel Zwick (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Perfect Strangers and Full House).
