The luxuriant Los Angeles Arboretum & Botanic Garden provides the perfect summer-evening backdrop for this outdoor concert with the Pasadena POPS. Emmy-winning conductor Michael Feinstein leads the symphony in an evening of big-band swing tunes from the ’30s and ’40s. You’ll hear numerous hits of the era, among them “Stardust,” “Night and Day,” “Moonglow,” “Get Happy,” “On the Street Where You Live” and much more. Two esteemed soloists join the POPS for this special event: Marilyn Maye, whose singing earned high praise from Ella Fitzgerald and Johnny Carson, and Michael Andrew, the headlining act at New York City’s famed Rainbow Room for two years.
