JERUSALEM IN MY HEART (http://cstrecords.com/jerusalem-in-my-heart/)
Constellation Records duo of Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (sounds & compositions) & Charles-Andre Coderre (live visuals) celebrate the release of their 2nd full length “If He Dies, If If If If If If”. The duo melds traditional & contemporary Arabic music with electronic processing & programming out of some dark 70’s film score. Lonely acapella ballads rest amongst processed buzuk instrumentals and acoustic meanderings. Writhing electronics billow until they burn out, leaving only the chants of distant chimes. Flute whistles birth beautiful drones that sprawl over time & space. Psych influences dance with new traditionalism in a marriage of noisey electronics, acoustic shredding and abstract percussion.
JESSICA MOSS
Montreal violinist & vocalist Jessica Moss (A Silver Mt. Zion), hits the road with her solo project, focusing on her music for violin, voice & electronics. Tortured violin loops weave a web of bristly yet comforting fur. Errant vibrations blistering into distorted notes. Beauty finds a way to exist amongst inevitable sorrow. Don’t miss what is sure to be an inspiring & introspective performance.
ROSE BOLTON & MUSIC IN THE BARNS (http://songofextinction.com/)
Toronto composer & violinist Rose Bolton joins Wychwood contemporary chamber ensemble Music In The Barns to preform some pieces from their newest work, The Song Of Extinction. Feeling almost like some lost new age record, etherial tones reach into the sky, as an unholy wind takes the earth in ghastly drones below. Rose creates a world in flux, derailed & on a path to fire & brimstone. Come experience this preview of humanities end.
KHORA (https://khora.bandcamp.com/)
Avant-folk composer Khora creates beautiful buzzing drones wrapped in organic strings and guitar plucking. Flowing endlessly like a river, his music pulsates and mutates from ominous electronics to acoustic flourishes. Electro-acoustic sweeps and whooshes weave amongst glistening tones and buried textures. An aural trip not to be missed.
