American bestselling author Rob Hill Sr., also know as “The Heart Healer”, is back by popular demand. Joined by Toronto’s very own author/mentor Makini Smith, the pair promise to bring you a motivational evening filled with good music and fine conversation.

The event, LOVE LINGO & LIBATIONS, dubbed the official release celebration of “111 Affirmations to Help You Heal” – Makini’s second published work – is sure to deliver a wonderful experience for all.

Attendies will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers through a series of interview questions moderated by Kike-Lola Odunsanya, a serial entrepreneur and small business coach.

Rob and Makini will share their journeys and insights on relationships and love, through authentic and transparent recounts of their personal experiences. Attendies are encouraged to do the same while interacting with the pair.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Rob Hill Sr., affectionally known as “The Heart Healer”, is a Sage, author, and public speaker from Chesapeake, VA. Sought after as a voice for the millennial generation, on healthy relationships, purpose-filled living and constructive love, Rob has become a viral sensation on social media. Rob discovered his gift for writing while studying philosophy, spirituality, and entrepreneurship, on his travels between America, Europe, and the Middle East. To date, Rob has sold over 60,000 books, independently, and spoken at a number of Universities and Conferences across the globe. Rob’s most recent work, a poetry album titled ‘Eden’, was released in June of 2015. He currently has a fourth print book, “The Missing Piece”, due for publishing, fall 2016.

Makini Smith is an author, motivational speaker and mentor from Toronto, CA. With a variety of accolades related to her philanthropic work, from being voted as one of ‘100 Black Women to Watch in Canada’ by the Canadian International Black Women Event, through being honoured by the Black Canadian Awards, on their ‘National Wall of Role Models’, to being listed as one of the ’18 Most Beautiful Women in the World’ by The Caribbean Current, Makini is humbled through her principle of ‘give thanks by giving’. Her book series, ‘A Walk in My Stilettos’, is an empowering resource for women who seek to cultivate confidence and courage through faith. LOVE LINGO & LIBATIONS is the official book release celebration of Makini’s second instalment within the series; ‘111 Affirmations to Help You Heal’.

MODERATOR & HOST – Kike-Lola Odusanya is a serial entrepreneur and small business coach in Toronto, CA. Kike-Lola helps women make the transition from full-time employee to full-time entrepreneur. Best known for her straight-shooting, results driven approach to building profitable businesses, Kike-Lola offers a wide range of coaching services alongside a variety of programs – online, group, individual, etc. Kiki-Lola enjoys authentic connections and takes joy from the confidence boost that results from her clients’ successes.

MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT – Over the last couple of years, Leila Dey’s textured vocals have lent themselves to artists the likes of Joel Ortiz, Vybz Kartel, Luu Breeze, and Rayzak, to name a few. Furthermore, Leila has performed with K’naan at Illuminato, was a part of Manifesto’s first all female cypher, and has opened for Melanie Fiona, Teedra Moses and Bridget Kelly. Since the production of ‘Something from Nothing’, Leila released her 7 track EP, ‘I’ve Arrived’. The EP, which speaks to her resilience in life and perseverance for success, showcases her unique and authentic approach to her artistry. Makini Smith is an advocate for giving back, and believes all children and youth should have an opportunity to dream.
