canada am to broadcast for the last time todayThe renowned morning show of CTV, Canada AM, will be airing its last show today and its hosts have asked viewers to share their memories of the long-running news show to bid farewell. According to the co-hosts of the CTV morning, today will be the program’s final broadcast before launching into the day’s headlines. Co-host, Jeff Hutcheson, stated that “after 43 seasons, this our last episode today,” whereas the second co-host, Marci Ien, mentioned that “we have sincerely loved our time with you.”

Meanwhile the third co-host of the show, Beverly Thomson, asked viewers to share their memories of the program through Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Since the beginning of the show, all hosts were very enthusiastic as they shared photos of Canadian flags along the Toronto waterfront, a Maritime iceberg and a Quebec barn. Hutcheson mentioned in his remarks that while sharing the weather forecast he really wanted to give it, saying “you’re welcome” to areas on the Canadian map with good weather and “not my fault” to areas with no-so-good weather.

An instagram post has revealed that the show is expected to air for the last time at 8:30 a.m. Many fans of the show have shared their favorite scenes from the show saying goodbye via social media including former Ontario premier Bob Rae. Rae praised the show and knocked the cancellation, mentioning in a tweet that “#CanadaAm abrupt cancellation ‘that’s no way to say goodbye’ – remember shows in 5 decades of analysis, good fun and great people.”
