Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Udta Punjab has been gaining attention ever since its inception, courtesy, the return of the former couple Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. But everyone was in for a disappointment when the two maintained a safe distance during promotions and avoided getting clicked together for photographs. However, during a recent event, Shahid Kapoor stated that it was intentional.
Though the makers have been maintaining time and again that Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan do not share any scene together, their appearance together during the trailer launch raised curiosity levels. As the media hounded them for a picture together, both politely maintained a safe distance and often got Alia Bhatt or the director in between during the photo-op session. This continued further during the film's promotions as the two avoided getting clicked together. When Shahid Kapoor was quizzed about the same during a recent event, the actor revealed that they getting clicked together would have taken away all the media attention and it would become a constant topic of discussion.
Besides Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Udta Punjab also stars Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh and is slated to release on June 17.
