Do you want more nature in your life?
Introducing Urban Naturalists, our first ever Nature Club for Adults! Participants will develop their knowledge and foster a deeper connection to nature as they explore the trails of High Park, guided by one of our naturalists. No previous nature knowledge is necessary. All levels are welcome. Hikes will be moderate in length and hiking ability.
The club will meet 6 times a season on alternating Saturday mornings between 9:30-12pm. The cost is $130 for all 6 sessions. The dates for the fall session will be: September 17th, October 1st, October 15th, October 29th, November 12th, and November 26th.
Themes and activities will be guided by the seasons and weather conditions. Areas of focus will likely include:
– Guided hikes through lesser known areas of High Park
– The natural history of the area
– Plant and animal ID
– Nature journaling and sketching
– Birding hikes
– Nature photography
– Invasive species removal
– Restoration of High Park’s native species
– And more!
