The day offered an opportunity to pause…wish a couple of people on their birthday…and prepare for a garage sale.  :

Last week as I was sorting and putting stuff in some semblance of "order", for the garage sale, this thought crossed my mind…"all the proceeds from this sale should be given towards the flood relief"…I continued to sort and very soon I found an envelope containing money.  it re-affirmed my intention for the sale.

The forecast for today called for intermittent showers and thunderstorms, and they came… but nature sided with our intention, the universe delivered, which manifested in many people dropping by and when they heard where the proceeds were to be directed, they shook their heads and said "keep the change, it is for a good cause"…of course life always shows you the "other" side as well, keeps the balance and the appreciation of the right path… two men walked up, browsed for a bit and said they lived in the neighborhood and were looking for specifically aluminum and copper stuff. We looked around and they did not seem to find their specific ware, but  they noticed a ceiling fan.  How much, they asked,  all they wanted to give was .50 cents, when I mentioned that this money is for charity and can they spare a little more, he handed me .5 more cents.  I watched them walk away with the fan, not being swept by the thoughts of judging anyone yet a feeling of gratitude swept over me for all the generous souls that had come by…

Now we read that 20 million people are homeless as a result of the flooding in Pakistan.  I want to go into my inner being, and remove any trace of conflict, pain or suffering, judgement, selfishness and greed…clearing and balancing the inner world will have to happen before the outer world is relieved of the conflict and suffering.  Is our "soul-less living"  causing factors leading to this "homelessness"…

Tu Eres Mi Otro Yo – (You Are My Other Self).  A Mayan concept of unity, we learn to be ourselves through our relationships with others.
