Delhi has been saved from a horrifying terrorist attack after the sudden arrest of Hizbul Mujahideen operative from Gorakhpur, near Nepal border, in Uttar Pradesh. Delhi Police has detained Liaqat Ali who is associated with Hizbul Mujahideen for the past 15 years.

The Delhi Police raided Hazi Arafat guest house in Jama Masjid area on Thursday night. They sealed the area around 10.30pm and conducted operation which led to the recovery of assault rifles, hand grenades and over 2kg of explosives. During interrogation, Ali confessed that a bomb blast in Delhi was being planned. Liaqat Ali was produced in a court yesterday which sent him to police custody for 15 days.

Cops took two staffers for investigation who helped identifying information about the people who visited the guest house. The police suspects that terrorists were working on attacking the national capital to retaliate the death-sentence of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Kasab.

Police is investigating the case to get into the core of the matter. Sources also indicate that terrorists were planning to hit the fourth and final Test between India and Australia at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi; however, officials denied to comment on that.
