Ottawa police nab bank robber Bader El-Sayed

The Ottawa Police Service arrested a man in relation to a robbery yesterday afternoon at the Bank of Nova Scotia in the 3700 block of Richmond Road.

Just after 1:05 p.m. a lone man entered the bank and demanded money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no injuries. No weapon was seen.

The 24-year-old man was arrested a short time later, a short distance from the bank, without incident.

Bader EL-SAYED of Ottawa is charged with robbery and fail to comply with a probation order.

EL-SAYED will appear in court January 6th, 2011 at 9:30am.
