Toronto Mayor’s brother, his campaign manager and councilor, Doug Ford, has refrained from revealing the location of Mayor Rob Ford’s Cadillac Escalade on Friday, as he said that it is “in hiding.” It has been a mystery as to what happened to the mayor’s black Caddy after it was driven out of the Gravenhurst impound where it had been parked for seven days when the woman driving it was arrested for allegedly driving drunk.

The mayor-mobile was driven away by an unknown person dropped off by the Fords’ other brother, Randy Ford. The media reporters gathered at impound were focused on Randy’s vehicle, when the mayor’s Escalade suddenly got pulled out of the lot at Northland Towing & Recovery. Doug laughed at the situation, alleging that “everyone was sleeping at the front exit and zing, he pulled out and they didn’t even know what hit him.” He further estimated that the media had spent almost $100,000 to report “on an empty car.”

Doug Ford reiterated that he doesn’t know the woman, Lee Anne McRobb, caught driving the mayor’s vehicle on May 20. He said that “I don’t even know this woman” adding that “obviously, Rob gave her permission … she didn’t steal the keys.” Commenting on the reporters query about the mayor’s recent trip to Crabby Joe’s in Bracebridge on Wednesday, he said that “It’s a restaurant/bar, whatever,” alleging that “Rob isn’t in prison, OK? He’s in a treatment centre. He went out with his wife, his kids.”
