Members of the DRPS Drug Investigations Unit (DEU) executed a search warrant at a Goodman Drive residence last night as part of an ongoing investigation. They discovered a man inside the residence and he was arrested after a brief struggle.
Officers discovered 1,485 plants in the basement of the home and several hundred seedlings. A main floor bedroom appeared to be in the process of being converted into more growing space. Officers also seized four large air conditioning units, two generators, 57 lights and 59 ballasts. They then executed a search warrant at the man’s residence in Toronto on Shepton Way and recovered 2.5 pounds of packaged marihuana. The total street level value of the marihuana seized is just over $2 million.
Yongjia FENG, age 42, of Shepton Way in Toronto is charged with: Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing.
