On July 27th 2011, at about 2:30 am Campbell River RCMP were called to assist ambulance attendants at a residence on Alder Street. On arrival officers determined that a 7 year old male was suffering from serious injuries. The boy was transported to hospital via ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.
The boy’s father is currently in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.
