Curly-haired Canadian crooner Gino Vannelli comes to The Rose in Pasadena just in time for Valentine’s Day. The Grammy-nominated pop singer-songwriter broke through in a big way in the ’70s with best-selling singles like “I Just Wanna Stop,” “Wheels of Life” and “People Gotta Move,” and his hot streak continued into the ’80s with hits including “Living Inside Myself,” “Black Cars,” “Hurts to Be in Love” and more. He’s continued to reinvent himself, releasing jazz records and a hit contemporary classical disc, Canto, in ’03. He also recently toured behind his 19th album release, 2014’s Live in L.A., and has recently tweeted about being in the studio working on his latest.
