Amar SinghTihar Jail authorities and AIIMS have submitted medical reports of Amar Singh, Rajya Sabha MP, which details that Amar needs psychiatric consultation for his "anxiety and restlessness" as he continues to have "vomiting and diarrhoea".

As reported on Wednesday when the AIIMS filed a two pages long report before the court which showed the medical status of Amar Singh, saying he was hospitalized because of his “fluctuating” health, the hearing was to begin as regards cash for vote scam.

From Department of Nephrology (AIIMS), Prof Sanjay Gupta said Amar Singh was admitted on 7th September following complications connected to post-renal transplant, diarrhoea, urinary tract infection, diabetes, dehydration and hypothyroid hypertension.

“The S Creatinine is fluctuating between 1.3-1.6 mg/dl (normal for him is 0.8-0.9 mg/dl). He (Amar Singh) has persistent tachycardia (heart rate exceeding normal range),” the sources reported. It also affirmed that a kidney transplant patient who shows over 30 percent sharp increase in S Creatinine level requires hospitalization.

A leading health institute also informed the court that Amar Singh who transplanted his kidney in 2009, was badly suffering from multiple health problems and was predisposed to infections.

Amar Singh was arrested on September 6 as regards the cash-for-vote scam and the court will hear arguments on Thursday on his temporary bail appeal.
