Moncton man arrested in connection with a shooting incident

On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at approximately 5:25 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP arrested a man in connection with a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of October 22 at the corner of Mountain Road and Church Street in Moncton.

A 32-year-old Moncton man was arrested without incident. He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court at 1:30 p.m. today to face charges.

Police are still looking for two other suspects who are believed to have been involved, a Black man in his mid-twenties and a Caucasian man between 35 and 45 years old.

The victim, a 27-year-old Moncton man, sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body. He has since been released from hospital.
