The Oshawa Power are excited to announce that NBL Canada number one overall draft pick Morgan Lewis has been cleared to play and will be back in the lineup on Thursday December 22 at the GM Centre for a warm welcome celebration when the Power take on the Summerside Storm.
Ten lucky Power fans will receive a large autographed poster of Lewis in action.
“We’re really happy to have Morgan back,” said Gary Durrant, President of Basketball Operations. “He’s been a true leader for us on and off the court.”
Lewis was injured in a hard fall suffered against the London Lighting on November 18. He suffered some serious injuries including broken teeth, broken bones and needed stitches. Lewis was under the care of team physician Dr. Joel Kerr and also saw outside medical specialists who gave the green light for him to resume action next Thursday.
The Power will battle the Halifax Rainmen on Sunday December 18 at 2:00 p.m. and then the Moncton Miracles on Monday December 19 at 7:00 p.m. to conclude the team’s three-game road trip.
