This will be an exhausting stage so riders should ready their extra sports drinks with them as the track is about to get real steep.
Stage 10 has High mountains with a total 1,501m high point over a distance of 194.5km . it travels from Macon to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine
The stage starts on July 11 from the town of Macon, a four-time host of the Tour de France. However, the place has often been used for personage time-trials. The key vague factor on this stage is the Col du Grand Colombier, which has never come into view on the Tour before.
The riders will finish off a tough race that will start just 168 meters above sea level and get as high as 1.5 km. Common sense hints that it’s too offbeat from the finish to be influential but there are some very steep slopes on its 17km ascent.
Riders will need to maintain full flow as going from the Richemonde’s summit to the finish, as the riders complete the final peak of the stage and go down quickly into the town of Bellegarde-sur-Valserine.
The final twenty meters will see the racers plunge 600 meters in a quick downhill race. Bellegarde-sur-Valserine used as travel ground for the first time in history. It is only 20 km from the Swiss border, as the challengers going down towards the eastern border of France.
