On Saturday July 21, 2012 Stage 19 brings the riders right up the doorstep in the 2012 Tour de France, as Paris seems to be just exactly round the corner.

Stage 19 has a time trail with a total 171m high point over a distance of 53.5km that will challenge even the most capable climbers,  it schedule from Bonneval to Chartres.

The racers will have the clear upper hand in the individual time-trial, the second of 2012, not including the preface. This time trial is significantly longer than the last trial at 53 in comparison to 38 km, , this time trial will be one of the most thrilling stages of the entire Tour.. However, that is not practically long enough to inquire about the general resistance of a top-quality player.

Last year saw an identical close down to the final stage, with an individual time-trial acting as an appetizer for the main dish. This year, the time trial is slightly longer, but the propositions will be the same. With only the victory lap around Paris just left over, stage 19 is one of the last probability for the top contestants to achieve a better spot on each other.
