On Saturday August 4, 2012, USA team will be playing against Lithuania. With an average of 37 points in first two games, US team was back in action strongly as beating Nigeria in their third match of group and set an Olympic record for points in a game by knocking down Nigeria 156-73, now they are looking forward with the same performance against Lithuania.
US Team key players, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love all had remarkable performances against in this entire tournament.
Lithuania’s top player Kleiza, a forward for the Toronto Raptors, is really the only frightening threat for USA. He’s averaging 16.7 points per game so far and making his shots at a high percentage as well. If Team USA can limit Linas Kleiza, they’ll probably earn themselves another blowout victory.
The Americans are the no. 1 team of the world and with the winning strip that they are having throughout the tournament while this would be an extremely hard task for the Lithuanians despite being as experienced and savvy as they are, this would be an interesting game to watch as top and experience teams will give a tough time to each other.
