The Walt Disney Concert Hall presents a special Halloween night screening of the classic 1927 silent film The Cat and the Canary. Directed by German Expressionist filmmaker Paul Leni, the film tells the story of the relatives of the fabulously wealthy — and recently deceased — Cyrus West, who spend the night in West’s mansion and are systematically stalked by a mysterious escapee from the local asylum known only as “The Cat.” In a throwback to its silent film roots, this screening of The Cat and the Canary will be accompanied by Clark Wilson on Walt Disney Concert Hall’s one-of-a-kind organ.
