Pauley Pavilion (Los Angeles, CA)
The Bruins take the court for the 2012-2013 season of NCAA Basketball in the beautiful new Pauley Pavilion, which has just undergone an 18 month, $136 million renovation. UCLA returns for another season, led by ten-year head coach Ben Howland, with high hopes and lots of optimism for a team that is fielding a strong mix of experienced veteran players and a talented recruiting class that features three McDonald’s All-American selections. With the departure of last year’s leading scorer, Lazeric Jones, this year the Bruins will be looking to senior Larry Drew III and freshman Kyle Anderson in the backcourt. Anderson is rated one of the nation’s top five incoming freshmen by ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com. In the frontcourt, three talented veterans — David and Travis Wear and Joshua Smith — will be joined by incoming freshman Tony Parker.
