Man Ashton Bell wanted in connection to a shooting investigation

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a shooting investigation.

It is alleged that:

– on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at approximately 2:45 a.m., a man become involved in an altercation with staff at a restaurant in the College Street/Grace Street area

– during the course of the altercation, the man assaulted the staff and other patrons

– the man then pointed a firearm at the staff and patrons before leaving the restaurant

– once outside, the man discharged the firearm, then fled the scene

There were no reported injuries from the shooting.

The man has been identified as Ashton Bell, 20. He is described as black, 6′, 250-270 lbs., with black hair.

He is wanted for:

1) Assault
2) Pointing a firearm
3) Weapons dangerous
4) Discharge firearm – endanger life
5) Careless use of firearm
6) Unauthorized possession of a firearm
7) Common nuisance
8) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order

He is considered violent, armed, and dangerous.
