Musical Theatre West presents Oklahoma!, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s enduring musical that’s now celebrating its 70th anniversary. Set on America’s Western frontier, this story of the love between a cowboy and a farm girl features such classic Broadway hits as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “The Surrey With the Fringe on Top” plus the exuberant title song. Making his Los Angeles-area directorial debut is David Gaines, an award-winning actor who performed the title role in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Musical Theatre West’s production features a blend of professional actors from Hollywood, Broadway and national tours, along with the best in local talent.
