Senators mourn 215 Indigenous children found buried at former residential school

The Senate held a moment of silence on to mourn the loss of 215 Indigenous children whose remains were discovered at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia. Senators representing all groups delivered statements about the devastating discovery, including Senator Mary Jane McCallum, who shared recollections of her own experience at residential Schools.
