USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Mahesh Bhatt is all set to take on the biggest challenge ever. The filmmaker will be writing a biopic based on the life of legendary musician Bhupen Hazarika. The biopic will be jointly written by Mahesh Bhatt and Kalpana Lajmi. Lajmi will also be directing the film produced by Pooja Bhatt.
Entitled Dhumuha: The Storm, the film will explore Hazarika's stormy life and music and his passionate 40-year-old relationship with Kalpana Lajmi. Though how much of her life would Kalpana be revealing is yet unknown, Bhatt says that the film will feature memories of her passionate relationship with Bhupen, her untold story of a girl who worshipped the man and the musician she fell in love with.
While on the other hand, the cast of the film is yet to be decided with Kalpana commenting that she would want Vidya Balan to play her part. As for the technical side, Santosh Sivan, who has worked with Kalpana in Rudaali and Darmiyaan, will be doing the cinematography.
