This spring, the Bad Dog Theatre Company invites Toronto audiences to return to the fantastical world of magic, dragons, treasure and kobolds: the world of D&D Live!. Inspired by the most popular role-playing game of all time, Dungeons & Dragons, this original, unscripted adventure-comedy is launching into its second season after a standing room only, critical hit run last August. “Anyone who has ever played a role-playing game late into the night will adore this show, as will fans of improv, comedy, and leather breeches., said the Torontoist last summer. Some of Torontos finest comedic performers portray an intrepid cast of adventurers (guided by the mysterious Dungeon Master) who will use audience suggestion, their lightning-quick imaginations and the rolls of a massive 20-sided die to slay the monsters, get the treasure and bring peace to the mythical realm of T’Rannah (a mythologized version of Toronto). Starring: Conor Bradbury (Sex T-Rex), Molly Davis (D&D Live) Julian Frid (Sex T-Rex), Ted Hambly (All The Worlds a Stage of Grief), Liz Johnston (Wits End Theatre Company), Seann Murray (Soulpepper, Puppetmongers), Simon Pond (Second City), Sean Tabares (Canadian Comedy Award winner, Throne of Games) and many special guests. Performances take place every Wednesday at 8pm from March 20 to April 10, 2013 at Comedy Bar (945 Bloor St. W) at 8pm. Tickets are $12 regular/ $10 student and are available at the door. To reserve tickets in advance visit www.baddogtheatre.com or call Comedy Bar Box Office at 416-551-6540. Visit:www.baddogtheatre.com for details.
