Location: The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre
Built in 1913 Torontos Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre is celebrating its 100th anniversary and is open for Doors Open Toronto, May 25 and 26. Tours are an approximately and hour and are lecture format that recount the history and restoration of the complex. Visitors will get a chance to see both theatres, view samples from the worlds largest collection of vaudeville scenery and hear about the famous performers that have appeared both on stages. Tours times are 10am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3pm no admittance after 3pm, no tripods and not suited for children under five.
