Halifax Regional Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred yesterday in Halifax.

At 5:55 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of 287 Lacewood Drive for a car/pedestrian collision. A 73-year-old male pedestrian from Halifax was struck by a vehicle exiting a parking spot. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by EHS where he died from his injuries overnight.

The incident is being investigated by the Accident Investigation Unit.
