Backpack for Hope is a project aiming to raise funds in order to help the students of Mawlawee Yaqob School in Istalif, Afghanistan. The school consists of 700 students and we will be providing each student with a backpack filled with school supplies. We will also be providing the faculty of the school with the appropriate tools and equipment necessary to provide these students the education they deserve. Every penny raised will be going directly to the school. All admin fees, transportation fees etc. necessary to distribute these supplies to the students will be covered by us separately. We have already raised $3754 from two events (basketball and soccer tournament) and are hoping to get closer to our goal with this volleyball tournament.
