In an update received by the spokesperson for the Quebec coroner’s office, Geneviève Guilbault, stated on early Monday that the two bodies recovered out of the five missing and confirmed dead people in the Lac-Mégantic train disaster have been shifted to Montreal, though the identification process is expected to be a lengthy one.
Meanwhile, Sgt. Benoit Richard of the Sûreté du Québec explained that the number of people enlisted as missing is still near 40. The unforgettable incident has left the majority of the small Quebec town near the Maine border abridged to ashes, while first responders try to handle the situation even though they are still unable to access certain areas of the blast site. Furthermore, the search and rescue tasks were made difficult due to hazardous conditions on Sunday night.
