Two Oshawa men have been arrested after an 18-year-old Oshawa male was struck with beer bottles and sustained injuries at a house party in Oshawa this morning.

On Friday July 16, 2010 at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers from Central East Division responded to a house party on Simcoe Street in Oshawa, involving a male victim who had sustained serious facial injuries following an assault by two male suspects armed with beer bottles. The victim and the first male suspect had a verbal disagreement prior to leaving the premises of the house party. Once outside, the victim was accosted by the first suspect in company with a second male suspect and physically struck with beer bottles. The suspects fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he received medical treatment for his serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Charlie DEXTER, age 19 of Verdun Road in Oshawa and Gordon MCCORMICK, age 18 of No Fixed Address are charged with: Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon. DEXTER is further charged with: Fail to Comply with Probation and Fail to Comply with YCJA Probation Order. MCCORMICK was further charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
