Joan Jett is a figurehead in the rock ‘n’ roll world and an inspiration for female rockers everywhere. She broke into a genre dominated by men and showed she could be just as loud and tough as any of the guys. With her band, the Blackhearts, Jett became a hit machine in the 1980s, pumping out rock anthems like “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself for Loving You” and “Crimson and Clover.” Jett is one of only two women to make Rolling Stone‘s list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time and she has been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the last two years. Jett and the Blackhearts are bringing their gritty, glitzy brand of arena rock to the OC Fair this year so prepare to bow down to the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” at the Pacific Amphitheatre.
