USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The makers of India's first war satire War Chhod Na Yaar have been denied permission to screen their film at the Wagah border for our soldiers.

Apparently, the film's core cast of Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi and Javed Jaffrey were all set to fly down to the border along with producer Prashanth Narayan and director FarazHaider to screen their film when they were suddenly informed that their scheduled screening in Wagah had been cancelled.

While no army or government personnel was forthcoming on the reason for the abrupt cancellation of the screening, a source close to the film says, "The border area is at the moment considered very sensitive because of the strained relations with Pakistan. They cannot risk a film crew at Wagah."

Confirming the denial of permission to screen the film in the sensitive border town, producer Prashanth Narayan says, "We were going to screen our movie for our jawaans. We had tied up with TV Today group to take our film to Wagah. Unfortunately they were not able to get the necessary permission."
