Igga was speaking to members of the Greater Equatoria Community that convened at Freedom Hall, Juba, to appreciate the appointments of the their sons and daughters to the national government in the Presidential Decree issued in June this year.

“We want peace and our motto is peace,” Igga said. “We are ready to talk with Yau Yau and other groups to bring peace among all people in the country,” said the Vice President who is barely a month in office following his swearing in last month.

“We need peace internally and externally to bring prosperity to this nation. We must unit with all people so that the future of this country does not fail,” reiterated Wani Igga.

He told his citizens that his leadership is devoted to make difference. “I assure you and you will see the difference in sometimes to come,” Igga said.

He called all the citizens to join their hands together with the government in fighting the challenges marring the fledgling nation. In particular, Igga called for unity of purpose and collective responsibility to get rid of insecurity in the country.

He pointed out that the government is still committed to talk to all its rebels in the country in a bid to better governance.
