The supreme court has added an additional legal challenge into the already embattled health care law brought forward by the U.S. President, Barack Obama. The dispute includes issues such as ‘coverage for contraceptives’ as well as ‘religious liberty’.
The justices of the supreme court will review provisions in the ACA (Affordable Care Act) on Tuesday which will try to solve the dispute between ObamaCare administration and the for-profit company owners who are part of the conservative group of Christians and refuse to pay for birth control drugs as his conflicts with their religious beliefs. It’s the first legal challenge that the Affordable Care Act has to face since it was passed seventeen months ago by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Apart from that, the case also raises the issue of whether only a for-profit organization can bring up issues regarding religious freedom. The family that raised the claim against the ACA law argues that it’s their personal beliefs that are at stake. Business owners should not have to choose between violating their faith and violating the law,” said the owner of Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., David Green. The company is based in Oklahoma and has a nationwide chain made up of more than 500 stores holding arts and crafts. They are responsible for 13,000 full-time employees.
