Micheil McLean of Sudbury charged with aggravated sexual assault

On the 1st of September 2010, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Criminal Investigations Division entered into an investigation following separate complaints lodged by two Sudbury area women. It is alleged that both victims had been involved in intimate relationships with a Sudbury area man and they have since found out he is HIV positive.

In both instances, the accused had unprotected sex with the victims knowing that he had this infectious disease, thus jeopardizing their health and safety.

As a result of the information received, 26-year old Micheil McLEAN of Sudbury has been charged with:

2 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault.

The accused attended bail court at the Sudbury District courthouse at 155 Elm Street West in Sudbury on the 7th of September 2010. McLean was kept in custody and the matter has been put over to September 10th 2010.
