Beloved Boyle Heights wine bar Eastside Luv and producer Guillermo Uribe are now producing shows at Ford Theatres, and the first one, English as a Second Language, features performances by some of the most popular Latino artists, representing different genres and multiple decades, singing in both English and Spanish, highlighting the richness of Mexican American culture. Led by renowned studio guitarist Andy Abad, the Blue Agave blends surf, spaghetti western and flamenco, while Villalobos Brothers are three virtuoso violinists from Veracruz, Mexico. And Trio Ellas is an all-female mariachi group that combines traditional mariachi, romantic boleros, bluegrass and rock.
