Student Charged with Sexually Assault for 3 Carleton Staff Members

Ottawa Police have confirmed to have charged a 26-year-old Carleton University student, Mohamed Daoud, with three counts of sexual assault in light of three separate incidents that took place in elevators at Carleton University. According to the police, they were approached and informed by a female victim, i.e. a female staff member at the university, who came forward to police on Thursday in order to boldly report about an incident confirming that she had been inappropriately touched.

According to the statements issued by Const. Marc Soucy, with Ottawa Police, their investigation has resulted in discovery of two more victims, both of whom are staff members at the University. Soucy mentioned that “the investigation brought out two more victims and we believe there may be more.” Furthermore, the police report stated that each case the women had been inappropriately touched while riding elevators on campus. It mentioned that “the incidents that he’s involved with so far, we know it’s inappropriate touching,” adding that “this is where it’s leading. We don’t have any information to say it’s gone further than that.”

Meanwhile, Mohamed Daoud has been confirmed to have been charged with three counts of sexual assault, consequently his schedule is to appear in court for a bail hearing on Friday. Whereas, police has alleged that one assault took place March 6th, Sept. 1st, and on on Sept. 2nd.
