Join us for our second presentation of The Vagina Monologues at “An Evening of Freedom”, an unforgettable evening of music, prose, pain, love, laughter and life that sheds light on gender-based violence through monologues of women from around the world.
Start your evening at our wine bar where guests can mingle, listen to live music by Carmelinda DiManno and shop our gorgeous items from Nepal, handmade by brave women who we support. Then, watch our courageous cast as they bring to stories of different women, from violent camps during the Bosnian war, to homeless shelters in North America.
We are calling upon all women and men who believe in peace and freedom for all women and girls to attend this event and RISE together with us for a bold and beautiful evening of FREEDOM. All proceeds from this event will go to Aura Freedom International’s projects in human trafficking liberation and rehabilitation, child marriage prevention and girls’ education.
The Vagina Monologues is an award-winning play based on playwright Eve Ensler’s interviews with more than 200 women around the world, from women’s shelters in the USA to small villages in Eastern Africa. With humour and grace, the piece celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. For more than 12 years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public. The Monologues have been performed in countless countries and on Broadway by A-list actresses like Glenn Close and Kerry Washington.
