The Actors’ Gang at Ivy Substation (Culver City, CA)

Learn to think outside the box with the Ideas In Motion conference, hosted by TEDx Culver City. This independently organized TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) event takes place at The Ivy Substation theater and will feature some of the nonprofit’s signature “Ideas Worth Spreading.” You’ll hear from an inspiring group of multidisciplinary speakers — from a happiness strategist to a tech entrepreneur to a clinical psychologist — as they offer their scope-broadening viewpoints. Lectures like “Love in the Time of Technology,” “Deliberately Accidental Learning” and “Depression in Africa” will give you ample food for thought. You’ll also see two unique performance pieces, get an eyeful of outdoor installations made by local artists especially for Ideas In Motion and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks provided by Akasha Restaurant, Bar and Cafe.
